Hillary has 20+ years of experience in medical sales and training including medical imaging and software, medical devices, and computer-guided surgical navigation. She is also a Certified Health Coach. Diagnosed with severe normal tension glaucoma in July 2020 she has extensively researched the disease in addition to working in glaucoma medical device sales. She has become a glaucoma patient advocate and has spoken at fundraisers and research meetings for The Glaucoma Foundation. She has also been a webinar guest with The Glaucoma Foundation, Ophthalmology 360, and Ophthalmology Breaking News. Hillary speaks passionately on transformation with humor, honesty, and vulnerability. She relates how her personal experience and challenges helped in exploring her mindset on limiting beliefs and what is possible when we focus on shifting our perspective and trusting ourselves. She speaks about how her story has lead her through darkness into light and her message is universal. She recently started a patient petition to fight Medicare LCDs that limited MIGS surgeries for glaucoma and as a result of her petition along with a coalition of companies and doctors the LCDs were withdrawn.
