Ian Conner MD PhD

Dr. Ian Conner is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh, where he completed his glaucoma fellowship in 2012. He serves as the UPMC Glaucoma Fellowship Director, an Associate Program Director for the Residency Training Program at UPMC, and as the Faculty Director for the Resident Surgical Training Laboratory.

Dr. Conner is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is a board member for the Pittsburgh Ophthalmology Society and the Chandler Grant Glaucoma Society. He is a co-author, Chandler and Grant’s Glaucoma, 6th Edition (Slack, 2018), and a co-author, Yanoff and Duker’s Ophthalmology, 6th Edition (Saunders, 2023). He has over 50 published conference proceedings, and 33 peer reviewed scientific publications.
